The heat accumulator has a medium storing latent heat in a bottom chamber containing the heat-exchanger of a charging circuit, while in a top chamber is an internal heat-transfer medium, also a discharging circuit heat exchanger. A mechanism imparts forced movement to the internal heat-transfer medium. A pumping pipe (18,19,20) opening at the top into the top chamber and at the bottom into the bottom one runs inside the heat exchanger (6) of the charging circuit (10) and is in direct heat-conductive contact with it. A pump (21) delivers the internal heat-transfer medium through the pipe from the top to the bottom.
