In a transport container for transporting temperature-sensitive transport material, comprising a chamber (2) for receiving the transport material and a casing (1) enclosing the chamber (2), wherein the casing (1) comprises at least one first latent heat storage element (7) which is in heat exchange connection with the chamber (2) and which comprises a carrier material, which is dimensionally stable at use temperature, and a phase change material distributed in the mass of the carrier material, with the result that the at least one first latent heat storage element (7) is dimensionally stable in a temperature range both below and above the melting point of the phase change material, there is provision that the at least one first latent heat storage element (7) is designed as a casting which integrally surrounds the chamber (2) at least over half the circumference as viewed in cross section.
