HEAT STORING MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To provide a heat storing material having excellent heat exchange efficiency and heat storage properties and free from occurrence of fusion even if immersed in hot water for a long period of time, by covering a crystalline polyethylene core material for heat storage with a hydrophobic resin layer crosslinked with a free radical generating agent. CONSTITUTION: A free radical generating agent compd. is blended with a hydrophobic resin (e.g., high-density polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride). Subsequently, crystalline polyethylene core material (e.g., high-density polyethylene) and the hydrophobic resin contg. the free radical generating agent compd. blended therewith are coextruded, or the hydrophobic resin which has been preliminarily prepared into a solution form is applied on the surface of a crystalline polyethylene core material, whereby the crystalline polyethylene core material is covered with a hydrophobic resin layer crosslinked with the free radical generating agent to obtain a desired heat storing element.COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
