ABSTRACT HEAT STORAGE MATERIALS The heat storage material, which undergoesreproducible transition in the range 66 to 74°C,comprises sodium pyrophosphate decahydrate (Na4P207. 10 H2O) dispersed throughout an opencell polymeric matrix which is stable in anaqueous medium at 80°C. In use (for example, for space heating) thematerial is alternately heated to above 80°C andcooled below its transition temperature withevolution of heat.
