PURPOSE: To obtain an insoluble anode with superior durability for plating in a sulfuric acid bath by adding a specified amount of Tl to Pb or by further adding Ag. CONSTITUTION: A Pb-Tl alloy contg 0.8W6% Tl or a Pb-Tl-Ag alloy contg. 0.8W6% Tl and 0.3W6% Ag is used as an insoluble anode used in a sulfuric acid plating bath in a continuous electroplating line or the like.
