ELECTROWINNING ANODE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE Abstract of the Disclosure A lead anode for electrowinning metals from sulfuricacid solutions is formed by soldering a sheet of lead anodematerial endwise in a slot, which extends longitudinallyalong and partially through a lead alloy coated copper busbar and into which the sheet fits tightly, and thereafterdepositing lead alloy filler at all joints between the barand anode. Anodes thus constructed have a uniform, smoothjoint between the bar and sheet and thus are corrosionresistant and exhibit uniform conductivity.
