PURPOSE: To obtain the titled anode showing superior corrosion resistance in a soln. acidified with sulfuric acid as a plating bath and having such characteristics as low consumability by coating the surface of an electrode substrate made of a metal having high mechanical strength and superior electrical conductivity, e.g., iron or copper with a lead alloy contg. prescribed amounts of silver and tellurium. CONSTITUTION: The surface of an electrode substrate made of the above- mentioned metal is coated with a lead alloy contg. 0.3W6wt% Ag and 0.1W5wt% Te to obtain a lead alloy anode for electroplating. This anode has superior corrosion resistance in a soln. acidified with sulfuric acid as a plating bath and the alloying components can be prevented from being leached out by an oxide film on the surface, so the anode can maintain stable anode characteristics for a longer time.COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
