INSOLUBLE ANODE FOR ELECTROPLATING

PURPOSE: To obtain an insoluble anode made of a Pb alloy which exhibits excellent durability esp. in a sulfuric electroplating bath, by using a Pb alloy comprising the pedetermined amount of each of Ag and Sr, and the balance Pb and inevitable impurities. CONSTITUTION: The insoluble anode comprising, by wt%, 0.5W5%Ag, 0.1% Sr and the balance Pb and inevitable impurities, and the insoluble anode comprising 0.5W5% Sn, 0.1W3% Sr and the balance Pb and inevitable impurities. According to this invention, by improving a known binary Pb electrode to which Ag or Sn is singly added into a Pb-Ag-Sr or Pb-Sn-Sr ternary system, the Pb alloy electrode having remarkably excellent corrosion resistance as compared with the known electrode is obtained.COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
