Integrating electrogalvanizing process in electrowinning process

A process for electrogalvanizing steel with zinc is incorporated into a zinc ore processing line including an electrowinning process, the electrogalvanizing process being carried out at high current density using a non-consumable anode with the steel functioning as the cathode as it is transported through the electrolyte and the electrolyte being an aqueous solution of zinc sulphate obtained directly from the zinc ore processing line.
