SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EVALUATION OF RUNWAY CHANGES

Improved systems and methods for the evaluation of runway changes that analyze the effect of the runway change on relevant factors, and provide intuitive visual feedback of the analysis on a flight display (112) of an aircraft (100), are provided. The provided systems and methods depict the original runway (202) and the new runway (206), side by side, in a pictorial representation (200). Additionally, a selectable group of relevant factors for each runway (202, 206) is determined. The pictorial representation (200) is overlaid with one or more symbolic indicators that distinctly demark each of the factors, alphanumeric descriptors may also be displayed alongside the symbolic indicators. The provided systems and methods additionally generate a tabular display (26) of the information and factors. The tabular display (26) provides a table (300) comprising a side by side comparison of the old runway (202), the new runway (206), and the relevant factors.
