TELEPHONE SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of radio interference while a vehicle is run without making smaller the usable extent of a telephone set which increases the intensity of its radio link when the vehicle is run and decreases the intensity when the vehicle is parked by discriminating the run and parked states of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle status monitor 14 discriminates whether a vehicle is run or parked based on a brake operating signal from a parking brake sensor 15 and sends a discriminated status signal to a master set of cordless telephone 11. When the vehicle is parked, the master set 11 communicates with a slave set 13 of the cordless telephone by using a control channel fixed to the master set 11 and starts communication after deciding a subchannel which does not give radio interference. When the vehicle is run, the transmitting power between the master set 11 and slave set 13 is reduced by means of a command from a link intensity changing means 17 before the communication is started. In addition, when a parking brake sensor 15 detects that the status of the vehicle has changed during communication, the intensity of the radio link is changed.COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
