The present invention relates to heat storage compositions comprising
70 to 99% by weight of calcium chloride hexahydrate1 to 10% by weight of one or more cationic polyelectrolytes and0 to 20% by weight of one or more further salts,
based in each case on the heat storage composition, to a process for production thereof, to the use thereof as a latent heat storage material and use of the latter in heat-storing building materials and as a heat storage element for vehicles, walls of transport vessels or other heat storage vessels.
